At the end of November, Epocha Restaurant in Carlton are playing host to a series of pop up dinners called Five.
Five is brought to you by Matthew and Caitlyn Hammond, the husband and wife team who originally met working at The Press Club.
Caitlyn has previously worked at some of Melbourne’s most esteemed restaurants, including Bistro Guillaume and Vue de Monde before she ended up at Epocha where she has been for the last year, working on their famed dessert trolley.
Matthew moved to Melbourne from The Hunter Valley, to start his Melbourne career at The Press Club, and has since worked at Brooks of Melbourne, before finally falling in love with the Cretan ethos of Elyros and taking up the role of sous chef.
“We are dedicated to bring to you the freshest produce by working with farmers and supplies that we have come to know and respect along our journey as chefs,” say the Hammonds.
“Five is a way for us to express ourselves and showcase what we have learnt and also what we aspire to become.”
Five will be serving a five course menu with matched beverages at $95 per person.
