Melbourne takes its coffee very seriously, that’s why we’re seriously buzzing to hear the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) is just around the corner!

Running from March 30 – April 1st at Melbourne Showgrounds, this will be the sixth MICE event, which has brewed into one of Asia Pacific’s largest and most exciting dedicated coffee events.

This year we are promised to see more than 120 exhibitors from the coffee, tea, dairy and ancillary supply industries, a dedicated Roastery section and Sensory Lab Brew Bar, as well as award ceremonies such as the Australian International Coffee Awards, and the Australian Coffee Championships.

Meet the growers behind your favourite cuppa Joe along Origin Alley, or pick up some tips and advice at one of the many coffee classes for professionals and home enthusiasts.

The 2017 MICE will also have a Brewing Lounge for the first time ever; where you can taste the coffee made by competitors in the Australia Brewers Cup Championship!

If Tea is more your thing, fear not! running alongside this year’s event is the Australian International Tea Expo, where you will find anything and everything tea-related!

Three days of caffeine-fueled fun sounds like a wild ride, but if you want more, then be sure to check out one of the many events for Melbourne Coffee Week (27th March – 1st April) which will perk you up in no time.

The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) is running a symposium for the first time on March 27, designed to help cafe owners learn how to get the most out of their business. There are also public cupping events where you can immerse your senses and grow your coffee knowledge, as well as Q&A panels and interactive workshops by La Marzocco.

It’s set to be a buzzing week, and not just because of the coffee!

For more information or to purchase tickets to any of the events, head to the MICE website.
