The restaurant has undergone an amazing transformation with a completely new menu and venue design.
The food at Burma Lane has moved away from traditional Burmese and South-East Asian style to a modern representation of multicultural Australia and its fascinating Asian influences.
The new menu is produce driven with the Australian-Asian combination ensuring endless inspiration for novel creations.
Executive Chef John McLeay says the relaunch has been an exciting challenge for him.
“It’s a real step away from authentic Asian cuisine where a lot of my focus has been for the last nine years. The new Burma Lane draws on these influences as well as my earlier European focused experience and new styles I’ve developed along the way.
“It’s been an exciting journey to bring all the things I love about Asian flavours into a contemporary Australian realm, developing a unique taste perfect for modern day Melbourne.”
