Yes, I am back again with another brunch post (this is getting embarrassing now…)
Mr. Mister is a popular café down the Windsor end of Chapel St. and so I decided to check them out.
Another café screaming nutritious and wholesome food with a modern twist, Mr. Mister boasts extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. I had the breakfast board for $15.50, which included the best of both sweet and savoury – with bircher muesli, smashed avocado and a slice of toasted, seeded bread. Perfect for the indecisive diner that wants the best of both worlds!
The bircher muesli was topped with fresh berries, coconut, goji berries and pomegranate seeds and was swirled in with some berry yogurt – delicious and unfaultable! I am beginning to think it is me, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the smashed avocado which was a bit oily and had too much added salt. Given my last post was complaining of underseasoning though, maybe I am just goldilocks with my smashed avo.
My brunch partner-in-crime had the acai bowl with fresh banana, apple, toasted coconut and roasted nuts. She also added the matcha maiden green tea powder and the proper protein powder because she is #fitspiration. An extremely generous serve as you can see in the photo, she was unable to fault the acai goodness and maintains to this day it is the best acai bowl she had ever eaten. Only downside, it was so big and delicious she ate it all and felt so bloated she was no longer #fitspiration.
